Sizing the Thermal Energy Storage Device Utilizing Phase Change Material (PCM) for Low-Temperature Organic Rankine Cycle Systems Employing Selected Hydrocarbons

Thermal energy storage (TES) looks to be a promising technology for recovering waste heat or other intermittent sources, especially if it is coupled with the organic Rankine cycle (ORC) system. This system may use variety of materials, including solids, liquids, and phase change materials (PCM). article discusses PCM as thermal material in TES systems ORC systems. Other configurations used ORC; however, this article, solely exchangers, i.e., evaporator liquid heater. The goal research establish dimensionless mass parameter sizing TES-evaporator (TES-EVA) TES-liquid heater (TES-LH) devices ORCs. Furthermore, model was created MATLAB environment using chosen hydrocarbons working fluids. obtained modelling results provide novel point view that scientists engineers employ while developing TES-EVA TES-LH utilizing ORC.
